2023 Mountain Shadow Music Festival

    The 2023 festival broke lots of records and had some “firsts”. There were more attendees than ever before with around 130 folks participating over the three days. There were more car and tent campers than previous festivals. The best record, though, was the fact that there was no rain until the last song for the last band on Sunday!
   We added shrimp to the Friday hotdog cookout and served some London broil with our regular Saturday pork and chicken.
   The music was especially good this year after adding a brand new sound system including a new mixer, powered speakers and a sub-woofer. To top it off we hired a professional sound engineer, Bryan Olson of “Grass Roots Entertainment” and he handled both the sound mixing and stage management. This freed Bob up to do other things and enjoy the festival more.
   Lisa did her usual fabulous job with food prep and display.
   There were so many folks that helped us to make this event possible that there is no way we can list them all. There were some, however, that worked extra hard. A big “thank you” to volunteers Bill Barber and his friend Chris. They provided most of the photos you’ll see on this page. Also a big thanks to Brie Barber Zmaczynski, Miranda Tolliver and her husband Bryn and his dad Steve, Martha Hall Brouwer, Jean Cashdollar Stroupe, Kelly McDuffie, Lee (Fish) Fishburn, Andrew Barber and his friend Maltese Dixon, Glenn Madara and Brian Monroe.
  Many others helped a bit and EVERYONE helped by picking up after themselves and helping us to recycle. There was almost no cleanup work the entire weekend!
  Hope we haven’t missed anyone! Our friends ROCK!

  We try to improve the festival each year but it will be difficult to beat the 2023 Mountain Shadow Music Festival. Be sure to continue on for pictures and videos of the festival.
