We'll see you August 1st, 2nd and 3rd , 2025! Tickets Available now!
If you have become aware of our festival and would like to be considered for performing at one of our festivals, please use the contact page and send the following information:
* Name of group
* Type of music (genre)
* How many members
* List of all instruments and voice requirements
* Best source to listen (website, YouTube, Facebook, etc)
* Compensation required
We compensate all performers but ask that you keep in mind that this is a free, non-profit event so we like to keep our costs down. Our time slots are for 1 hour and 1.5 hour sets (a bit longer for daily headliner). We have three slots available for Friday night beginning at 5pm, six slots on Saturday beginning at noon and three slots available on Sunday beginning at 10am.
We have hosted many different genres of music including folk, blues, country, bluegrass, Irish/Celtic, spoken word, jam band, solo artists, barbershop quartet, Klezmer and more. We are always open to something new and exciting!
If you have been booked for our festival we ask that you follow our guidelines. If there is a problem or you need more information, please contact us through the contact page on this site.
The Mountain shadow Music Festival prefers that you use our sound system. This allows musicians to travel light and also allows for the best sound in our amphitheater. We have a professional sound engineer who is also an excellent stage manager. A complete list of our system is available at the end of this page. If you have a preferred microphone and foot pedal devices bring them, of course. We prefer not to mic other amps but rather tie right into our system.
Our festival is a private event for friends and family. We invite you to bring along
immediate family and a friend or two. If guests wish to return for more of the festival they will be required to purchase a pass for the festival. If band members wish to stay for more of the festival they are welcome but might be asked to help with a food donation. Band members are also invited to tent camp or car camp at our festival with the same food requirement mentioned above.
We have a green room for staging your instruments, equipment and for tuning and warmup. When you arrive our parking team will guide you around the circle drive to the load/unload spot. We provide a Green Room for you to pack in to prepare for your set.
There are a few rules for Green Room Use:
**Please park your vehicle after unloading and reloading. We have to keep the circle drive open.
** Please be aware of on-stage performances while in the Green Room and maintain quiet as necessary.
** Please remove your gear from the Green Room after you set to make room for other musicians coming in. If you don’t want to reload your vehicle, please see festival management for possibly putting your equipment in the house.
** Please sign one of our walls in the Green Room to let folks know you were there.
We ask that you please include your performance at our festival on your media outlets and include us in your events. Please list it as a “private” event. You may also link this website to your schedule.
Musicians are cordially invited to join us for any of our meals. If you want to come early and eat you can also listen to some of our other performers. This includes coming for either of the Saturday or Sunday breakfasts.

* Any other pertinent information
