2024 Mountain Shadow Music Festival

“The 2024 Mountain Shadow Music Festival was another great success! Even though we were plagued with heavy rain both Friday and Saturday evenings, we still managed to present full sets by all the performers. Saturday was especially interesting with a 6:45pm deluge of 2 1/2 inches of rain in about thirty minutes. Our sound crew, Bryan Olson and Grass Roots Entertainment Group as well as volunteers really stepped up to make sure that the sound equipment wasn’t compromised. While there were some wet feet, the amphitheater kept everyone dry just like it was designed to do! Also, Sunday morning, several folks stepped up to smooth out gravel and mulch and prepare for our Sunday music. The excitement will be remembered for years to come!

  A few highlights include our first “Spoken Word” artist Minton Sparks, our first ever bluegrass band, the Neighbors, and our first Celtic group, Banna from Greensboro. Also, the Jimmy Buffett/John Prine Tribute Saturday afternoon by Michael Federal, Tom Kuhn and Jim Ashton was a huge hit.

  All the performers were outstanding and the food was a big hit as well! 

  Let’s do it again next year!!”
